Teenage Counselling

Looking for a family-friendly and supportive environment to start your counselling?

Between the ages of 11-21 there are so many physical and mental changes that occur and sometimes the transition to adulthood is not a smooth one. The lines of communication between teenager and parent can be closed due to misinformation, misdirection or misunderstanding.

Along with the hormonal and physical changes their bodies undergo, today’s teenagers are needing coping mechanisms for the emotional and mental impacts today’s society is having on the developing brains. Behaviours that were never evident as a child may start to emerge. Or you may be transitioning a child with a diagnosed condition. Either way, asking for professional help to navigate adolescents can be a necessary step to determine if your teenager is simply going through the usual set of difficulties faced by kids of that age, or if there’s more serious problems to consider.

We work with teenagers to manage:

  • Anxiety
  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Aggression and anger management

  • Autism spectrum disorder

  • Dyslexia or other learning difficulties more effectively
