We ask that you provide as much notice as possible (+24 hours) if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment as this allows us to offer the appointment time to someone else. Cancelling at short notice, or within the 24 hours, may result in you being charged a cancellation fee (notice period excludes weekends and public holidays). If the cancellation is a result of an emergency or illness, you should discuss this with your treating psychologist.
Unlike a visit to your GP, generally an adult session with one of our psychologists will run for 50 minutes. Children’s sessions usually will be 45 minutes.
We welcome discussions on bulk billing and reduced fees for cases of financial hardship for eligible clients. Please discuss this with us if you are seeking affordable therapy and counselling.
If you receive a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan (item 2710) from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, you’re entitled to a Medicare rebate per session, for 10 sessions per calendar year. Please call us if you would like more information.
No referral is required unless you wish to claim your session on Medicare. Rebates may be available from most private health funds. Please check with your health insurer to see if you are covered.
Yes. The building and the office are both wheelchair and pram accessible.
Yes, we have onsite FREE parking available. We’re located within the Illawarra Health Services, next door to Illawarra Medical Centre.
