Feeling lost?

New Directions Psychology can get you back on track

It’s OK to stop and ask for help. Sometimes you need to speak with someone who knows the way.

Do you need to move forward, or retrace your steps?

Do you need someone to guide you to get you where you need to go?

Or maybe you just need to know that someone’s walking beside you, so you get there safely.

New Directions Psychology can help you navigate your way back to emotional balance

It’s a brave step to admit that things aren’t working for you or a member of your family. Maybe you’re not sure which way to turn.

Since 2007, our psychologists have been looking after the mental health and well-being of adults, children and families in the surrounding north-eastern suburbs of Perth. We’ve been helping people from all walks of life achieve balance in their lives.

By keeping up to date with the best evidence-based practice delivery and research, we can navigate which therapy and treatment can help you best. Our range of services are available in a friendly and relaxed environment, so you feel comfortable attending your sessions with one of our professional psychologists.

And you can rest assured, knowing that each session will be treated with confidentiality and compassion.

Need Some Direction with Your Parenting?

How do I start my New Directions journey?

When you first arrive at the clinic, you should make your way to reception and let them know you’ve arrived. At your initial appointment, you’ll be asked to fill out a patient detail form along with some information regarding confidentiality and maintaining your privacy. Once completed and handed back to reception, your psychologist will introduce themselves and take you through for your consultation.

STEP
01

Initial session

During the first session with your psychologist, they’ll want to get to know a little about you and your history. Expect to talk about your current and previous mental health issues, as well as your family, medical and personal history.

STEP
02

Tailor your therapy

After your initial session, your psychologist will take the time to tailor your therapy as we do not use a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Most people will feel the benefits of treatment after a few sessions.

STEP
03

Conclusion

At the conclusion of your session, your psychologist will book your next appointment and provide you with a reminder card. Together you’ll head to reception to organise payment of your account.
